World Record Breaker

I didn't realize when I was taking photos last week that I had managed to take a picture of Kenda Lenseigne (it's hard to get a photo of her because she goes so fast). Here is one of the photos of her after she slowed down. Click on the "World Record Breaker" title to see her youtube record- breaking video.

The Shively's

I've known Matt Shively for about 25 years. When I met Matt he had tunnel vision. Now he is blind and wears a hearing aid. But that doesn't stop Matt. He's a motivational speaker. It was great to visit with he and Cyndi and to get to meet their beautiful daughter.

I had fun, fun, fun visiting with special friends in Eugene

I know you won't get mad at me for posting this because you don't have internet.

Sharp Shooters in Goldendale WA

These Sharp Shooters made it look like anyone could jump on a horse and blast away with incredible precision. The folks in Goldendale are about the friendliest I've ever met. Saturday was filled with riding, a concert by the Branded Duo from Texas, and some great BBQ.

Paint Out at Susan Glendenning

I didn't want to go to the Paint Out today. I was busy, but thought I would stop in. I was really glad I did. The most phennomenal thing about today was meeting Susan. Sometimes I focus too much on doing. But I got a great reminder that the art is in the relationship. I walked into a dazzling studio filled with light and color. In walks Susan. From the moment I met her, I felt anticipation at something enchanting. As we chit-chatted I felt something uplifting about being in her presence. The Studio itself so alive with color, appealing and alive, but I wasn't sure why. Susan told me that she loves vibrant underpainting. And then I realized that Susan standing in the middle of her Art Studio, was the most vivid piece in the room.
I also got to meet Mike, Paul Barton who has a Studio above Don's Camera, Raeychelle and some others. I think Susan teaches Pastels. I might have to try it!

Willow Creek Lavendar Farm & the Olympia Art League

Have you ever tried Lavender Lemonade? After a romping great time on the Lavender Farm, Diane served all of us artists her amazing Lavender Lemonade. In typical character, Diane and Steve Hitzke are still doing all kinds of neat things for their community. Today they let the Olympia Art League come and use their stunning acreage for artwork. The artists are so fun to watch. And we all have Gloria to thank for setting up this wonderful treat for us. Around every turn at Willow Creek is a perfectly sweet corner begging for appreciation. The lavender will be in bloom in a few days, so I definitely will go back in the next week or two. I had heard about their farm, but never made it out there. They've had it for two years and already it's a haven. I wasn't sure where it was, but it's on 10546 Tilley heading out to Millersylvania. Take the kids and tell them RizziN sent you.
